This place starts off as an espresso bar. I learnt of this place back in London, from this Cool Hunter article, about how this coffee place looks like a library.
My first experience with D'Espresso however was their other branch in Lower East Side. The furniture was worn out, the place was dirty and the coffee was terrible. This time, I had ice cream instead of coffee.
The gelato stand was clearly an afterthought. There wasn't enough space for the stand so it was placed diagonally at the front of the shop, too close to the glass that customers can't see and pick their flavours unless the staff pulled the stand (luckily on wheels) back! Fail.
Just skip this place.

Hazelnut gelato. The gelato overflew and dripped on our hands. It wasn't the portion, it was the tiny cup.
