88 Palace Restaurant

I was hesitant when friends suggested yum cha. My stomach felt funny after the previous 2 yum cha in Chinatown - one in Manhattan the other in Brooklyn, but both were considered as one of the best. Anyway, I went. Food was alright, but then I've been told I have very high standards for dim sums, sure enough for someone coming from Hong Kong.

Giant vase, lace arch, fake flowers - this is even too much (decor) for a Chinese restaurant.
We were there around noon and already they're setting up for dinner.
Chinese efficiency of stacking tabletops together. Tablecloth was already laid to save time.  Haven't seen this in years so I was excited. The wallpaper looks quite nice from a distance.
More tabletops.
Ceiling.
Red carpet. Typical.
