Ippudo

In London, I have always been more of a fans for udon than ramen. Until I came to New York and discovered so many good ramen places!

I usually prefer smaller and lesser known shops, but Ippudo is one of the few super popular places (think 2 hour of waiting) that I actually love - on condition I could go for weekday lunch with zero waiting time:)

Apparently they also have 2 shops in Hong Kong and I bet the waiting lines are pretty crazy too.

Logo and address on the napkin.
 Ramen under the bar table.
 The wall.
Akamaru modern ramen with nitamago.
Tori ramen - clear chicken, pork and fish soup. Funky bowl. At first I thought it was lipstick marks on the bowl...
Kuro-obi (squid ink) ramen with chicken, pork and fish broth.
Mentaiko over rice. The rice from this ramen place is actually very good! We ordered it with the lunch set (ramen + rice). You'll be full but highly recommended!
Grilled eel over rice.
