Blue Bottle Coffee (Chelsea)

There is absolutely nothing about this place that I don't adore! If I have to be really picky I'd say the flowers aren't pretty or the thermometer and the timer don't look as cool as all the other equipments. This is such a cool place to be. I'm going to put this right at my #1 coffee den (Everyman and Bowery can share #2). Great music too (and nicely placed stereo) at just the right volume.

Beans: Blue Bottle

Cafe without name (except for the sign outside that reveals itself and a logo that is already familiar to all).
A nice sliding door behind the counter greets you as you walk in. On the ground floor is the 'general' bar. We went upstairs to the boutique-style special coffee tasting bar (and people keep turning up and being turned away as there're only 6 seats).
Tea upon your arrival! The homemade marshmallow infused in bourbon is so yummy. Coffee experts that master marshmallow too?! The world is unfair. I so wish they sell them.
Chemex pot for the people sitting next to us.
Look at the lights! I've had siphon coffee before but it's the first time I see it powered by halogen heat. The most beautiful coffee maker I've seen! The lights and the brass handles and the glowing glass... (Then I got carried away and took lots of pictures...)
Baristas in NYC definitely dress more stylishly than London. I love how the halogen lights lit our barista's face too as he concentrates on his coffee.

 Brass + coffee. Perfect harmony.
Beans: Cerro Gacho C.O.E. (Honduras). LC chose some other beans but this was recommended to us and we loved it! A bit weak at first sip but a fruity taste grows in your month gradually. Nice slightly sweet aftertaste too (and strange how my aftertaste lasts a lot longer than LC's). I guess my brain wants to preserve it.
